Press Realeases
We are experts in dual-use, defence, space, entrepreneurship and innovation management. Our excellent network spans the military, academia, politics and the security and defence industry. Our successes include the founding of founders@unibw, the intra- and entrepreneurship platform of the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich, the dtec.bw innovation centre, the SpaceFounders space technology accelerator and the incubation of around 50 European deep-tech start-ups.

Sicherheit schafft gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt und ist die Grundlage für wirtschaftlichen Erfolg und die europäische Integration. Ziel von BASED ist es, die technologische und sicherheitspolitische Souveränität Deutschlands und Europas durch innovative technologische Lösungen von Start-ups zu stärken, die den Sicherheitsbedürfnissen moderner Gesellschaften gerecht werden, ohne zur Eskalation von Konflikten beizutragen. Dazu vernetzt BASED Start-ups mit etablierten Unternehmen, Investoren, Forschungseinrichtungen sowie politischen und gesellschaftlichen Akteuren aus den Bereichen Sicherheit und Verteidigung. Um Potenziale für Sicherheit und Verteidigung zu erschließen, fördert BaseD den Austausch über Branchen und Technologiefelder hinweg. Seit September 2024 ist BASED Teil der Digital Hub Initiative des Bundesministeriums für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz.
